Frequently Asked Questions

What are your vaccine requirements?

Before your pet pays a visit, they need to be up-to-date with their preventative care, including their vaccinations and parasite tests. These include:

Dogs

  • 1- or 3-year Rabies vaccine
  • Bordetella vaccine
  • DHLP-P vaccine (puppies should have at least their 2nd booster shot)
  • Negative heartworm test (within the year)
  • Fecal exam (within the year)

Pets must be up to date on all vaccinations at least 2 weeks prior to their grooming appointment. All vaccinations must be administered by a licensed veterinary professional. If your pet is exempt from vaccines due to health concerns, we require a letter from your veterinarian to keep on file. Titer testing is accepted. If your pet arrives with expired vaccinations, you will be required to reschedule for a later date, and marked as a last-minute cancellation.

How do I make an appointment?

Please call our grooming line at (513) 797-7387, or schedule with salon staff in person.

All clients are required to maintain a regular grooming schedule, as our groomers’ books fill very quickly. If you would like your pet to be scheduled with a specific groomer, this must be indicated at the time of scheduling.

Discounts are offered for clients that wish to maintain a weekly or bi-weekly schedule. Please speak with our grooming staff for more information on choosing a schedule that will best suit you and your pets’ needs.

      What is your cancellation policy?

      Cancellations

You must provide at least a 24-hour notice regarding any cancellation or rescheduling.  Failure to provide this notice will result in a 50% service charge, and you will be subject to pre-paying for any future appointments.  These fees are non-refundable.

      Tardiness

Tardiness is considered arriving 15 minutes or later after your scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals affect the other appointments for the day.  It will be up to the groomers discretion whether they are still able to groom your pet or if your appointment needs to be rescheduled. Because of the late arrival you will be subject to the No Show policy and pre-paying for any future appointments.  These fees are non-refundable.

Please call the hospital in advance and speak with one of our customer service representatives if you know you are going to be running late. Our groomers may be able to accommodate a later drop-off time, depending on their schedule for the day, and provided this information is communicated in advance. If our groomers are able to accommodate a later drop-off time, you will not be marked as a no-show and no additional fees will apply.

      No-Show

No shows or same day cancellations will result in a 50% service charge, and you will be subject to pre-paying for any future appointments.  These fees are non-refundable.

      Are sedated grooms available?

Anesthetized grooms are available, but we always attempt at least one grooming session prior to scheduling as such. Often, the pets that are referred to us for anesthetized grooms are able to be rehabilitated by exploring alternative options. If it is determined that your pet requires an anesthetized groom, we do require a pre-surgical exam and bloodwork with one of our on-staff veterinarians prior to scheduling an anesthetized groom.

      Zero Tolerance Policy

We have a zero-tolerance policy for abusive and/or threatening behaviors directed toward our staff. This type of behavior includes swearing, vulgarities, name-calling, yelling, physical alterations, and threats. Any person found to use this type of behavior while speaking to our staff will be asked to leave the premises immediately and not return.

      Satisfaction, Questions, and Concerns

It is our goal for you and your pet to leave satisfied after every visit. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your experience, please reach out to our grooming salon within 72 hours of your appointment. We are happy to make adjustments to your pet’s groom, when possible.
